Kogan Builders Inc. has announced the transfer of ownership of the company to Edward Asher, effective Dec. 13, 2019.
Kogan Builders will continue to operate in the region as it has for more than 20 years, designing and building custom homes under the same professional management, operations and design-build team.
Asher comes to Kogan Builders with the experience gained from growing up in a multi-generational family owned construction business. Asher earned a master’s of science degree in engineering mathematics from MIT before serving as a United States Marine Corps Officer. He later founded an information technology services firm with a global customer base.
Originally from Kentucky, Asher is an avid skier, biker and, admittedly, his love for the mountains is part of what brings him to Durango. His management and leadership experience will be valuable assets to Kogan Builders.

The Kogan Builders Inc. design-build team remains unchanged. Upper management includes Scott Smith, Vice President; Ryan Voegeli, Pre-Construction Manager; and Jason Wanstrath, Construction Manager. The design team consists of Chris Dale, Architectural Designer; Tracy Toner, Interior Designer; and Jaclynn Shaw, Interior Designer.
