Best bets this weekend include Durango Fall Blaze and the Suicide Awareness Ride and Rally.
The 13th annual Durango Fall Blaze, presented by Morehart Murphy Subaru, has gone virtual this year. The ride begins at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Riders may ride any type of bike on any trail they prefer. Participants are invited to join the Durango Fall Blaze Strava Club for some friendly competition to win one of three Osprey hip-hydration packs. Riders can also compete for the most miles ridden, most vertical feet gained and most vertical feet lost. Best photos posted on Instagram with #durangofallblaze and @rockymounts will be entered to win one of two Rocky Mounts hitch racks.
Registration is $50 with a suggested $200 fundraising pledge. The first 100 people to raise $100 will receive a 4-ounce bottle of tire sealant from Orange Seal. Optic Nerve sunglasses are available for the first 150 people reaching the $200 goal.
All proceeds benefit the Fort Lewis College cycling program operations and scholarships.
