Vaccines and how they work. Colorado’s water supply. Crisis management. Coping with loss. These are only some of the topics to be explored in the free Fort Lewis College winter-spring lecture series.
“We’re launching our 21st year of Life-Long Learning presentations,” said Gary Rottman, a retired scientist from University of Colorado at Boulder, program leader and member of the FLC Professional Associates. Since winter 2000, the volunteer organization of college supporters has co-sponsored the free town-gown lecture series along with the Office of the President.
“Like last fall, our programs will be presented virtually as webinars,” Rottman said. “They begin promptly at 7 p.m. Thursday evenings. You will view the speaker and all visual materials and be able to ask questions via the chat function.”
From the beginning of FLC’s Life-Long Learning project, the goal has been to feature a mixture of topics presented by FLC faculty and community members.
“This year, we’re pleased to announce we have eight speakers from the college,” Rottman said. “In addition, some of the lectures will be recorded and available for one week after the initial offering.”
