The La Plata Conservation District will award scholarships to qualified La Plata County students.
Applications are available at the Natural Resources Conservation Service office, 31 Suttle St., the La Plata County Fairgrounds Extension Office and the counseling offices at Durango, Bayfield and Ignacio high schools. Applications are also available for continuing students at Pueblo Community College Southwest and Fort Lewis College.
Applications are due by April 15 and must be mailed to or turned in at the Natural Resources Conservation Service office, 31 Suttle St., Durango, CO 81303. Applications will be reviewed by the district’s board members and selection will be based on ability, merit, character, community service and career goals. Recipients will be notified by mail after April 30.
