Adult day care at Our Place extends weekday hours

Adult day care at Our Place, a day time respite care that benefits adults who cannot be left home alone as well as their caregiver who is in need of a break, announces that it has extended its hours from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both Tuesday and Thursday.

Sage Health Care announces its opening

Nurse practitioner Debbie Meyers, CNP, MS, announces the opening of Sage Health Care, 72 Suttle St., Suite C in Bodo Industrial Park.

Meyers has been practicing as a primary women’s health-care provider for more than 20 years. Services include complete physical and gynecological exams, health promotion and disease prevention, contraceptive care (including IUD insertions), hormone-replacement management, treatment for acute minor illnesses and maintenance of noncomplex chronic conditions. Most insurances are accepted.

An open house will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Sage Health Care with refreshments served.

Primary-care office announces opening

Perins Peak Health Care, LLC, a primary-care office that offers medical care for all ages, will open Wednesday.

Services offered will include checkups, preventative care, management of chronic illnesses and health screenings. Dr. Robert “Buz” Bricca, board certified in family medicine, is now accepting patients. Bricca possesses 33 years’ experience in family medicine.

The office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays and is located at 2577 Main Ave., Suite B, across from the La Plata County Fairgrounds in the Durango Urgent Care building.

Medicare and all major private insurance will be accepted.

Trails 2000 announces hire, board member

Trails 2000 announces Dewayne Buratti as the new trail coordinator for the 2015 trail season.

Buratti has been building trails since 1997, when he attended the first International Mountain Bicycling Association’s Trail Care Crew class in Nantahala, North Carolina. As the owner of Talon Trails and trail manager for Trek Bicycle, he was responsible for implementing the best in sustainable trail design. He also spent two years as a certified member of the Professional Trail Builders Association. Buratti’s trail design and building spans 12 states, Canada, Puerto Rico and includes natural surface trails for hiking, biking and equestrian.

Buratti will assist Monroe Brown with coordination of various projects, including: planning, construction and maintenance of trails, tracking upcoming trail projects, creating maps for future trail alignment proposals, mapping trail maintenance areas and providing recon reports for crew leaders.

In addition to Buratti, Trails 2000 announces a new board member, Julie Levy, who currently serves as chief operating officer for Parady Financial Group.

Justin Osborn attends land conference

President-elect of Colorado’s Realtor Land Institute, Justin Osborn of The Wells Group, recently attended the National Land Conference in Tucson, Arizona.

Topics discussed included the strong demand for development parcels, the current state of both recreational ranches and income-producing farms, the threat and possible effects of rising interest rates, and the implications of Washington wanting to change regulations on both the 1031 tax exchange and the mortgage-interest deduction on second homes.
