Parade of Homes award winners announced

A home in The Glacier Club built by Cerwin Homes won the People’s Choice Award on Friday at the Parade of Homes Gala.

Cerwin Homes and Kogan Builders were recognized Friday in the Parade of Homes Gala for their work on two La Plata County homes. The builders took the top awards in the People’s Choice and Judges’ Choice categories.

Cerwin Homes won the People’s Choice Award for a 4,080-square-foot home at 220 Hideout Trail in The Glacier Club designed by Joe Sebastian with interior details by Brian Beatty.

The home features custom rock work, a rustic oak floor, a free-standing staircase, an elevator and a chef’s kitchen. The home also won best master suite and best outdoor living area.

The home at 2434 D&RG Drive near Shenandoah built by Kogan Builders won the Judge’s Choice Award on Friday at the Parade of Homes Gala.

The home’s asymmetrical, floor-to-ceiling windows overlook a grand vista featuring the La Plata Mountains and Lake Nighthorse. The home also won best kitchen.
