Sunday power blip

About 110 La Plata Electric Association customers in the city’s northwest end lost power Sunday afternoon for a short time. The cause was undetermined, and crew a re-energized the lines.

According to a LPEA news release, the outage occurred sometime before 2:50 p.m. around the Junction Creek and West 32nd Street areas.

“The crews checked lines and re-energized at about 3 p.m.,” said LPEA spokeswoman Indian Reed in the news release. “There was no cause found for the outage.”

Because the outage was brief and quickly resolved, the typical Outage Hotline was never issued.
