The La Plata County Fair Board is currently accepting theme ideas for this year’s La Plata County Fair.
Themes should reflect the family and community nature of the fair. Themes or slogans should be kept to 10 words or fewer. Artwork is encouraged and can be dropped off with theme concept submissions at the La Plata County Extension Office at the Fairgrounds or mailed to La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave., Durango, CO 81301.
Label submissions with the name, mailing address and telephone number of the person submitting. Entries must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday. The winner of the chosen entry will receive a $100 cash prize.
The 2021 La Plata County Fair is scheduled for Aug. 11-14 at La Plata County Fair Fairgrounds. The fair will feature entertainment for the whole family, including a carnival, displays, exhibits, livestock auction, demolition derby, dancing, food and more. Event specifics will be determined by the future health guidelines as the event nears.
