Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project will host a virtual grafting class from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday on Zoom.
Learn the skill of grafting apple trees with Jude Schuenemeyer, who will demonstrate whip and tongue grafting technique. After the class, a Q&A will take place. Participants are invited to have grafting materials on hand in order to follow along. Needed materials include a grafting knife, bands, wax or parafilm, rootstock, scion, permanent marker and a tag.

The Powerhouse Science Center will host the Apollo 14 Virtual Speaker Series from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Participants can tune into the @powscicenter Facebook stream to hear speakers Steven Cooper and Renee Jack discuss satellite and resource tracking technologies that smokejumpers and wildland firefighters rely on, and how they use them for decision-making in fighting fires.
The presentation is free to the public. A live Q&A will be held after the event.
