Fort Lewis’ Wilson named Defensive Player of the Week again

For the second time this season, Fort Lewis College center Brandon Wilson was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Wilson had eight points, nine rebounds and a blocked shot in Friday’s 89-72 win at Colorado Mesa. He followed up that performance with a double-double in the team’s 107-103 overtime win Saturday at Western State. Wilson had 15 points, 10 rebounds, two blocks and a steal to cap off a historic weekend for the Skyhawks. It was the first time in over a decade the team beat Colorado Mesa and Western State on the road in the same weekend.

Wilson and the Skyhawks will go for the team’s 10th consecutive win at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Alamosa against Adams State.
