Madrid scored twice, and Peter Oles scored Durango’s other run.
Joe Pope started the game on the mound for Durango. He was relieved by Morgan. Luke Ford and Dawson Marcum also pitched in the game. Morgan recorded two strikeouts.
New Mexico was led by Brandon Hunt’s two-run triple. Jared Kane was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Jacob Saavedra added two more RBIs on another single.
Durango was eliminated from the tournament with the loss. New Mexico will advance to play the host team, Petroglyph Little League of Albuquerque, at 3 p.m. Sunday.
