The La Plata County League of Women Voters will hold its legislative lowdown meeting from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Colorado Sen. Don Coram and Rep. Barbara McLachlan, D-Durango, will be available during the event for participants to ask questions, share input and discuss issues related to the current legislative session.
The La Plata County League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages participation in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
The meeting is free and open to all.

La Plata County PERA to meet Saturday
The La Plata School and Public Employees Retirement Association will hold a meeting before the League of Women Voters “legislative lowdown” event from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the upstairs conference room at Durango Public Library, 1900 East Third Ave.
Those who attend will have the opportunity to meet with Sen. Don Coram and Rep. Barbara McLachlan, D-Durango, about issues related to the upcoming PERA legislation.
The meeting is open to state employees and retirees.
