Letters: Not wearing a mask is selfish and evil

We now know that face masks are our first, and most effective, line of defense from viral infections.

I have to assume that we were discouraged from using masks early on in this pandemic because American companies didn’t have sufficient numbers of them on hand to protect both our hospital workers and the general public.

We simply have to put blame and politics aside for the moment and do what is best for everyone’s benefit.

Not wearing a face mask publicly in the time of COVID-19 could kill you and infect us. It is simply selfish, stupid, even evil not to wear a face mask in a public gathering or business where you are physically interacting with people!

Remember the business signs that used to read, “No shoes, no shirt, no entrance”? A much more important sign now would read, “No mask, no entry.”
