Durango Arts Center will host a living history presentation of former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the DAC, 802 East Second Ave. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
Susan Marie Frontczak will portray Roosevelt. This Chautauqua performance is free and open to the public and is a Colorado Humanities and History Live presentation.
Roosevelt redefined the role of first lady working as an author, activist and humanitarian. Though she often had to work behind the scenes during FDR’s presidency, she is now widely regarded as one of the most influential women of the 20th Century.
