Truck left the road and overturned on Colorado Highway 141
A man was killed after the semitrailer he was driving overturned on Colorado Highway 141 in the Slick Rock area Monday, according to the San Miguel Sheriff’s Office.
A Durango man died in a semitrailer crash Monday on Colorado Highway 141 near Slick Rock, north of Dove Creek, according to the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office.
Lance G. Luedtke, 37, was killed in the crash, San Miguel County Coroner Emil Sante said Thursday.
Luedtke was the sole driver of the truck. The cause of the crash was not released.
The semitrailer overturned in the afternoon on a curve at mile marker 19 and left the road, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The crash is being investigated by the Colorado State Patrol. The highway was closed for several hours in both directions after the crash. It reopened about 9:15 p.m. Monday.
