Integrity Health Plus, a health care services company with offices in Durango, has declared bankruptcy and is moving out of a building owned by the county, to which it owes at least $125,000.
La Plata County and San Juan Basin Health are among the estimated 100 to 199 creditors the company claimed in its Chapter 7 bankruptcy filings on July 7.
The company estimated it owes between $1 million and $10 million in business debts, according to the documents.
Wade Rosenburg founded the company in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and opened a laboratory in the Tech Center in late 2014. The lab specialized in testing blood and urine for opioids. Many of the company’s clients were doctors who required patients using medications like oxycodone to be tested to make sure they were using the medications properly, he told The Durango Herald in 2015.
Integrity Health Plus spent at least $1 million renovating space on the third floor of 10 Burnett Court. Rosenburg said in 2015 that he expected to employ between 50 and 80 people in 18 months.
La Plata County bought the building in January 2016 for Human Services offices and became the company’s landlord.
Integrity Health Plus stopped paying rent to the county in March and it owes $61,426.53 in back rent, county spokeswoman Megan Graham said on Monday.
Integrity Health Plus also owes the county $64,286.15 for rent it would pay through the end of the year, she said, and additional money for maintenance not included in the rent.
In May, Laboratory Management Services, another company owned by Rosenburg, took over the lease from Integrity Health Plus. Rosenburg personally guaranteed both leases, Graham said.
Legal representation for Laboratory Management Services and Rosenburg told La Plata County staff that the company, Rosenburg and more than a dozen other related businesses are going to file for bankruptcy soon, Graham said.
The county notified Laboratory Management Services that the lease agreement was terminated Monday, she said.
“The company is already moving out of the building,” Graham said.
San Juan Basin Public Health staff could not find Integrity Health Plus in the agency’s records, spokeswoman Claire Ninde said.
