Know Your Dough, a nonprofit that provides financial wellness programs to local youth and young adults, is recruiting volunteers to teach fourth-, seventh- and eleventh-grade programs in the spring for Durango, Bayfield and Mancos school districts.
Candidates should be passionate about working with youth, and have teaching experience or knowledge of financial services, such as accounting, banking and investing.
Students will learn about needs and wants; saving and budgeting; debit and credit, and investing and protecting money. Programs are typically five hours total, held for an hour each day, Monday through Friday, during social studies classes.
