The Durango Botanical Society, the organization that builds and maintains the Durango Botanic Gardens at the library, would like to thank the High Noon Rotary for its recent donation.
This donation will allow DBS to begin construction on the newest garden, the Elevation Grass Garden at the Durango Public Library. This garden will consist of a collection of water-wise, drought-tolerant grasses especially cultivated for our region.
Grasses build the foundation for life. They bind the earth, preventing water and wind erosion. Homeowners will be able to see how these grasses develop and determine if they would be appropriate for their own landscapes.
