If you’re looking for the tastiest green vegetable to be found at a local restaurant right now, let me recommend the giant grilled asparagus at Ore House.
As wide around as your thumb, they came three to a plate with crabmeat and lobster tails, simply cooked and lightly salted and absolutely delicious for an extra $3. If you want more, they can be ordered as a side dish for $7.
If you’re in the mood for a more substantial, less healthy vegetable, let me put in a good word for their shoestring french fries. They’re crispy, salty and flecked with little green flakes that one suspects is parsley but it does nothing to diminish their tastiness or the calorie splurge.
They go very well with the asparagus, too.
