Proposition 112: what is it really? In reality, it is just another land-grab by environmentalists in their fanatical quest to drive all energy out of Colorado and especially from La Plata County!
Going, going, and almost gone are many, way too many, of the good-paying jobs that used to be here for La Plata County residents!
What employment is there to fill the void created by the lack of those good jobs? Why, of course, more service jobs and motels!
Sadly, at their best they are mediocre employment; again, at their best. So, I suppose congratulations should be given to our stalwart county commissionersfor their lack of vision, lack of caring for this community, short-sighted planning, their agenda-driven thinking, and their round-file treatment of our rich county history while rewarding themselves for their work with a handsome, yes, very handsome, salary raise.
So back to Proposition 112. Now more than ever we citizens of La Plata County must vote and be heard! Vote and take a stand!
Please vote NO on Proposition 112!
