Animas Valley Grange will host a virtual presentation, “Cooking with Karma,” from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday on Zoom.
Karma Bhotia, executive chef and owner of the Himalayan Kitchen, will prepare two restaurant favorites, one vegetarian and one chicken-vegetable dish. Bhotia was born in the mountains of Nepal and guided trekkers and climbers throughout the Himalayas. He found his way to the Austrian Alps as head chef at a mountain resort, then to Pasadena, California, and on to Durango. The presentation will be an evening of food and philosophy, putting March’s “Himalayan Spices” talk to work.
