The city of Durango seeks input from the community about preferred alternatives to the service cuts proposed for Durango Transit.

Durango Transit Center will not be able to operate at its current service level in 2018 because of budgetary constraints, such as a decrease in grant funding as a result of a change in state policy.

Members of the public are invited to attend an open house and share their ideas from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 1 at the Durango Transit Center, 250 W. Eighth St. City staff members will be in attendance to answer questions and provide route alternatives during discussion. To provide feedback online, visit www.durangogov.org/vch.

For more information, call Sarah Dodson, assistant director of transportation, at 375-4901, or visit www.durangogov.org/transit.
