The results aren’t there.
Neither is the Skyhawks’ putting.
But the improvement is.
Fort Lewis College finished 17th at the University of Wyoming’s men’s golf event Monday and Tuesday in Maricopa, Ariz.
“(Tuesday), we played really well,” FLC men’s golf head coach Bud Andersen said. “Just like the second round (Monday), we played really well, too.”
But the putting ...
“We gave too many putts away,” Andersen said.
The Skyhawks’ coach said FLC would’ve shot “12 to 15” shots better if it made its putts Tuesday and “8 to 10” better if it did the same Monday.
“We dial in our putting, then we’ll be right there,” Andersen said.
