Trails 2000 is inviting people to attend a community meeting from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mancos Town Hall, 117 North Main St., to discuss the concept of a multi-use path between Mancos and Cortez.

This proposed multi-use path would provide a safe alternative route along U.S. Highway 160 that will connect to Mesa Verde National Park, the BLM Phil’s World Trail Park, the Southwest Colorado Community College, and the Montezuma County Fairgrounds.

There will be an opportunity to view a short presentation, ask questions, and give input on possible trail routes through hands-on mapping.

This is the best opportunity to provide input on the proposed trail. A second public meeting will be held in Cortez after the preliminary alignments have been developed.

Contact Trails 2000 at 259-4682 for additional information.
