Filmmaker, writer and poet Nicole Esquibel will hold a screening of her documentary, "Neva Romero: Jamas Olvidados," at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave., in Ignacio.
The film covers the May 1974 death of Ignacio woman Neva Romero. Romero was known as "Miss Ignacio High School," homecoming queen and a varsity cheerleader before she and two other Chicano activists were killed in a Boulder car bombing. She was attending the University of Colorado at the time. Her murder remains unsolved.
The event is free and open to all.
