Keegan Brooke Archuletta, the young woman reported missing, has been in touch with her family.

Archuletta, 26, was reported missing in late February, and on Friday, the Durango Police Department asked for help from the public in locating her after investigators had exhausted all leads.

“Detectives with the Durango Police Department were notified over the weekend that Ms. Archuletta spoke with her family members via telephone,” DPD Lt. Ray Shupe said in a news release. “Although she would not give them her location, she did advise that she is OK and not in any danger.”

The police department has closed the investigation, and pleased the search ended successfully. Detectives are grateful so many residents called in with information, Shupe said.
