Hudson wasn’t alone, either. Seven people went 13-for-13 in the Week 8 Green, including the Week 7 winner, Dan Rose.
What’s that saying about Lucky No. 7 and Unlucky No. 13?
For Rose, that’s quite the NFL fortnight – 26 out of his last 28 picks have bloomed to victory.
For Hudson, however, his Week 8 was a flower of a different color. He’s only had one double-digit week, and that was a 10-spot in Week 4.
The Tucson, Ariz., resident hung his hat on a Packers’ 37-23 tiebreaker; the Packers won 44-31, so Hudson hawked the weekly victory to be the last man standing.
Mr. “bojangles” remains your overall leader with 87 points, one point ahead of two others, two points ahead of Week 6 winner “pistolpete” and three points ahead of Week 5 winner “billcorwin.”
I thought I had a good week at 11-2, but that didn’t even put me at 1st and goal. Instead, I ran my modest overall total to 71 points, tied with “jwilson” as the lowest among the weekly winners and one point ahead of Hudson.
