A new tea bar – Create Art & Tea – is scheduled to open on Memorial Day, Monday, at Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave.
The location inside the arts center will be open to provide iced tea all day Saturday for spectators and participants of Iron Horse Bicycle Classic events.
The store will offer a selection of 20 loose-leaf teas, served hot or iced. Also, tea by the ounce will be available for purchase and local art will be featured in the tea bar, such as fine art, jewelry, ceramics, pottery, glass works and more.
The soft opening event will be held Monday and the grand opening will be announced at the end of June, after the tea bar is completed. The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday after the soft opening.
