Center of Southwest Studies to host events

Two events will be held Wednesday at the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College: a book sale at 5 p.m. and genealogy research program at 5:30 p.m.

The book sale will offer titles at discount prices until 7 p.m. in the Delaney Library and the genealogy research program will run until 6:30 p.m. in the Lyceum Room.

Proceeds from the book sale go to the purchase of rare items and books about Southwest topics for the Delaney Library.

During the genealogy program, archives manager Nik Kendziorski will talk about genealogy archive resources at the center and how to find information online, and Ruth Lambert from San Juan Mountains Association will discuss a three-year project spent recording burials in La Plata County cemeteries.
