One week after a close five-point win at Telluride with a short-handed roster, the Ignacio High School boys basketball team showed its true might against the same team with a healthy lineup ready to go Saturday at home.
This time, Ignacio rolled through Telluride 66-34 behind 23 points from Bryce Finn and 15 points from Brady McCaw, who had missed last week’s matchup.
Dylan Labarthe added 12 points in the win for Ignacio (7-2, 5-0 2A/1A San Juan Basin League).
Telluride (0-7, 0-6 SJBL) was led by 14 points from South Livermore, while Hayden Tealdi finished with nine.
Class 2A No. 13 Ignacio has four games to play in the regular season and looks strong to gain at the very least a share of the league championship after a big win against No. 3 Mancos earlier in the week. Those two teams will meet again March 2 in Ignacio. First, IHS will play next week on the road Tuesday at Dolores before a home game Saturday against Ridgway.
