EAGLE – The search for a 3-year-old boy missing since Friday is focusing on the Eagle River after a piece of his clothing and a phone was found there.
The phone that Sebastian Rodriguez Castro was carrying went he went missing was found Sunday in the river below the apartment complex in Eagle where he lives, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said. The discovery came after crews expanded the search area downstream after finding a piece of the boy’s clothing in the river late Saturday.
The Sheriff’s Office estimates that between 500 and 600 volunteers and first responders have looked for Sebastian with help from drones, rescue dogs and helicopters. No other land searches are planned, the sheriff’s office said.
