CH2M employee passes engineer exam

CH2M HILL’s Durango office announces that mechanical lead Dustin Wilkinson has passed a professional examination and now is a certified professional engineer.

New downtown restaurant names chefs

Charley Curtis and Chris Bissonnette have been named the chef and sous chef, respectively, of the new El Moro Spirits and Tavern, 945 Main Ave.

El Moro opened to the public July 25 for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

Originally from Alaska, Curtis earned a degree in English with a minor in political science from Arizona State University. He then enrolled at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts. For the last six years, he has been executive chef at Durango Mountain Resort.

Bissonnette was born and raised in New England and attended the culinary academy Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I. He moved to Durango in 2004 and served as operations manager for Durango Party Rental. He returned to cooking with a position at Durangourmet and was with the catering firm for 2½ years before joining El Moro.
