Brock: What is your politician doing to reduce gun violence?

I am glad that the young people are standing up for their rights. They have a right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness, just like the rest of us. Lately, those three guarantees of our Declaration of Independence have been put on the back shelf by the upper management at the National Rifle Association and companies like American Outdoor Brands

I am heartened that the media has finally, in some small way, begun to pay attention to the people of the United States who live their daily lives, work hard and continue to build our nation and make it safe and strong.

I am keeping an eye on Hollywood’s involvement. Usually the involvement of the entertainment industry indicates interference. As is often the case, the actions and statements of a few well-meaning celebrities can confuse or dilute a message.

As we all know, the news outlets that reach us through radio and television and, in some cases, the internet, have become so entwined with the entertainment part of their business that it is almost impossible to see the distinction between the two.

I am glad that celebrities have taken up the cause of the young people as they fight to ensure that going to school doesn’t end in a blood bath. I do wonder if they will see this through to the end. I am also curious to see when politicians will take a stand.

President Trump is working towards banning ‘bump stocks,’ what is your politician doing?
