Durango police are asking for help in identifying a man who walked out of a sporting goods store with a hunting bow and its rest worth more than $1,000.
The theft occurred at 4:16 p.m. Dec. 2 at Goods for the Woods in Centennial Shopping Center, said police Sgt. Rita Warfield.
The bow, a black, right-handed 2014 Bowtech RPM 360, was valued at $949, Warfield said. The value of the rest pushed the total theft to more than $1,000, Warfield said.
The suspect tried to conceal the bow under a yellow outer garment, Warfield said.
Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call investigator Burke Baldwin at 375-4723.
