Please be a voice for Havasupai horses

Regarding a recent article that you ran about the reopening of the trail at Havasupai (“Arizona canyon famed for waterfalls reopens after flooding,” Sept. 3): I’m wondering why there was no mention of the long-standing inhumane treatment (up to and including death) of the horses that are used to transport hiker’s gear?

If you are not familiar with the plight of the Havasupai horses, please educate yourself by going to www.havasupaihorses.org to check for yourself. It would be nice if you would also consider running an article about these horses. They have no voice, so please consider being a voice for them!
