Every country dealing with this terrible pandemic has managed to do so without guns, looting or riots.
Buying guns tells us a lot about this country and the people. They are going out and buying guns to protect themselves from what, their neighbors, their friends, their families?
If they come to my house with a gun to take what they can from me, they don’t need a gun. All they have to do is ask. I will be happy to share whatever I have.
Are these gun buyers going to shoot me or shoot a person in need over a roll of toilet paper?
There are health workers risking their lives to care for whoever needs it. Are the gun buyers going to demand health care at gunpoint?
They should be ashamed. If there was ever a time to show our best selves this would be it.
Come on Durango, come on America, we are all in this together. Let’s act like the good and civilized people we claim to be!
