The city of Durango Parks and Recreation Department will hold the 39th annual Arbor Day Celebration at 10 a.m. Friday at the Durango Community Recreation Center, 2700 Main Ave.
The ceremony will take place at the rec center’s amphitheater. In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved to the gym.
Songs and skits by elementary school children will be featured, and ice cream and seedlings will be provided for participants.
