Best bets this weekend in Durango include breakfast with Santa on Saturday at McDonald’s and the third annual SantaCon event on Sunday.
Santa will arrive in Durango via helicopter at 8 a.m. Saturday for a breakfast event held until 10 a.m. at McDonald’s, 201 W. College Drive.
Breakfast will include all-you-can-eat pancakes for $1, or 79 cents with a canned food item, toy or blanket donation for Project Merry Christmas.

Durango’s SantaCon will return for its third year from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Carver Brewing Co., 1022 Main Ave.
The event starts with a canned-food drop-off at Carver’s and then features a costume contest and prizes. At 6 p.m., people will hit the streets for a pub crawl to spread Durango-style holiday cheer throughout downtown.
