A one-day workshop on cultivating hops is scheduled March 21 in the Student Union ballroom at Fort Lewis College.
The workshop is the third sponsored by the specialty crop division of the Colorado Department of Agriculture, New Mexico State University and Fort Lewis College.
Among those who could learn and network at the workshop are current and potential hop growers and commercial and home brewers, said Beth LaShell, a FLC instructor and coordinator of the Old Fort at Hesperus.
Among the speakers will be Aaron Melin with Front Range Hops, which pelletizes hops for businesses.
Registration may be done online with a credit card at www.tinyurl.com/oldfortmarketplace. The cost is $25 until March 18. After that the cost will raise to $30.
