One year after going 0-12, the Ignacio High School girls soccer team found itself on the short end of its season opener.
The Bobcats (0-1-0) fell 6-0 at the Telluride Miners (1-0-0) on Saturday at home.
“We started six freshmen and sophomores due to basketball still wrapping up,” IHS head coach Oscar Cosio said. “I had to start a girl who hasn’t played since she was a 6-year-old.”
The Bobcats will have two weeks off before they will play March 18 at Pagosa Springs.
