The Durango Education Foundation has recognized 191 outstanding staff nominees who were nominated by students, colleagues and community members. The outstanding recipients of the year were:
High school: Sandy Seibert, ESS department coordinator at Durango High School. Middle school: Donna Kirby, English teacher at Escalante Middle School. Elementary school: Kay Flanagan, kindergarten teacher at Florida Mesa.
Support staff members who won awards are Olga Snowberger, district lead PARA; Janice Coleman, cafeteria manager at Riverview Elementary School; and Kelly Marinan, Kid’s Camp coordinator at Needham Elementary School.
