3:42 p.m. Items were taken from a woman’s vehicle overnight in the 1100 block of Goeglein Gulch Road.

4:54 p.m. Someone found a backpack with a handgun in it in the parking lot at the General Palmer Hotel, 567 Main Ave.

Saturday

11:23 p.m. A man was passed out in vomit in the 600 block of Narrow Gauge Avenue.

Friday

9 a.m. A vacant school bus had its stop sign out, and it was causing a traffic hazard near Fassbinder Park, 140 West Park Ave.

9:46 p.m. A huge tree branch fell in the east 500 block of Fifth Street. No one was injured.

Saturday

2:34 a.m. Medics from the downtown fire station responded to an assault.

Thursday

1:04 p.m. Medics responded to a traffic accident near County Road 142 and Wildcat Canyon Road (County Road 141), southwest of Durango.

Durango Fire & Rescue Authority responded to 49 calls Thursday through Sunday.
