I know Clyde Church is a great choice

Clyde and I have been married for nearly 49 years. Why would his wife ask you to vote for her husband?

Because no one works harder, listens more carefully, analyzes problems more thoroughly, designs solutions more creatively, possesses more compassion or decides more fairly than Clyde Church.

We met in college. Clyde’s parents thought he was wasting his time and money going to college, so he drove miles to classes, worked in the push-up chute and ring at livestock auctions, cleaned horse stalls, rode kids’ horses to keep them trained, did some jackpot team roping and came home to prepare dinner for his family every weekday.

His focus, dedication, and commitment to reach his goals were apparent. Yet he took time to help others, listened to their problems and explored options. Clyde was mature beyond his years and clearly a leader.

La Plata County needs Clyde’s leadership, dedication, analytical mindset and collaborative skills as we face continued budget cuts and must decide what we can do without.

He will work tirelessly to develop our businesses and encourage entrepreneurs to diversify and strengthen our economy to restore services as quickly as possible.

Frankly, Clyde’s having fun running for his first elected office, meeting so many caring people; going to dozens of Grange and community events; knocking on 2,000-plus doors; attending BoCC meetings; and reading agenda packets to gain in-depth knowledge of the issues.

Vote for Clyde Church as your fulltime Commissioner. He will work tirelessly for La Plata County.
