Lightner Creek Fire benefit to be held Saturday

Christine Polinsky’s house, at 1255 County Road 207, was the only property lost in the Lightner Creek Fire.

A benefit for Christine Polinsky, owner of the house that burned in the Lightner Creek Fire, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19, at Durango Harley-Davidson, 750 South Camino del Rio.

Polinsky is a former Harley-Davidson employee, and she owned the only house destroyed June 28 during the Lightner Creek Fire. Polinsky lost everything.

The fundraiser will include music by Windwolf Productions, a poker-chip run for all vehicles, barbecue, a silent auction, contests and prizes, a water-balloon toss, activities for kids and more.
