Best bets this weekend include Men Who Grill and an ice cream social at the Marvel Grange.
The 17th annual Men Who Grill event will be held virtually at 5 p.m. Saturday on the Women’s Resource Center Facebook page.
The event highlights local culinary skills while raising money for the community. Ten teams grilled in their own backyards or places of business July 11, and judges traveled to each grill team.
Videos of the teams grilling and the judging portion will be streamed Saturday during the virtual event online at the Women’s Resource Center Facebook page, www.wrcdurango.org and American General Media’s Facebook page.
The event is hosted by Women’s Resource Center and is sponsored by American General Media. Donate to teams online at bit.ly/3e4ANyu.
For more information, contact Kelly DiGiacomo at 946-3130 or events@wrcdurango.org.
Marvel Grange will host a homemade ice cream social at 3 p.m. Saturday at 8097 County Road 100, Hesperus.
The event will honor veterans and recognize membership achievements for grange members.
Community members are invited to bring their favorite homemade ice cream to share. Participants should also bring a chair.
