Mary Ann Baker, an artist from Mimbres, New Mexico, unstraps her sculpture “Jazz Drummer” after it was installed Thursday by the city of Durango on East Eighth Street across from the Durango Arts Center as part of the city’s public art program. It was one of three art pieces selected in April for display. The piece was purchased for $8,000.
