Police say no foul play is suspected
A 40-year-old woman was found dead Saturday morning in the 1500 block of Florida Road (County Road 240).
Cmdr. Jacob Dunlop with the Durango Police Department said officers responded about 7:15 a.m. to reports of a potential unattended death.
The woman, whose name was not released pending notification of family, did not appear to have any significant injuries, Dunlop said.
He said no foul play is suspected in the woman’s death.
“Our preliminary thoughts are that she might have perished from exposure,” Dunlop said. “There did not appear to be any foul play or assault. An autopsy is scheduled for the middle of next week.”
