I need help, as a person who thinks our society and its systems should operate by some moral and ethical standards. So, to all of you conservatives out there; you that believe in conservative values, like: honesty (no lies), integrity, ethics, character, fiscal responsibility, etc. And to you Christians, you that go to church, pray to your God, believe in family values and say you believe in moral standards. Why did you support and continue to support our president (and worse, the Republican party that is too craven to stop this)? He does not have any idea what true conservative values are. There is no media required: just listen to him.
And he continues to denigrate your values and what you believe in. Is this consistent with your conservative values – and what your Book says to you Christians? Why are you not as repulsed as I am?
Would your political Lord Reagan say it is good policy to cause $1 trillion in debt for tax breaks for the wealthy? What would your Jesus say about bragging about grabbing women’s private parts? And lying and disparaging your neighbor?
If you don’t think what is happening in this country- – fostered by a mean spirited White House, and endorsed by the Republican party – is not disgustingly in violation of the values and standards you have, please think about it.
Turn off all your devices, and think. Maybe pick up a book. But please, consider.
We are better people and a better country than what we are being subjected to.
