UC-Colorado Springs volleyball too much for Fort Lewis

FLC volleyball falls at home

After splitting the first two sets of Friday night’s matchup with UC-Colorado Springs, Fort Lewis College’s volleyball team ran out of gas.

The match was even after the two sets, as Fort Lewis rebounded from a 25-22 loss in the first set to win the second 28-25.

However, the Mountain Lions sprinted to the finish, winning the third and fourth sets, 25-13 and 25-17, to win the match 3-1.

Matisse Monty led the way for Fort Lewis (3-8, 0-3 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) with 11 kills and 11 digs. Hannah Martinez added nine kills and six digs, and Delaney Scanlan had 19 assists.

UC-Colorado Springs (8-5, 3-1 RMAC) was led by Kim Catlett’s 24 kills and 14 digs. Morgan Evans had 52 assists for the Mountain Lions.

Next up for the Skyhawks is Saturday’s home matchup against MSU-Denver at 5 p.m.
