San Juan Basin Public Health and Four Corners Health Care Center will implement facility-wide testing of residents and staff at the long-term care facility. The testing will take place Monday for residents and Tuesday for staff.
The testing at Four Corners will be the first of SJBPH’s prioritized surveillance testing sites. SJBPH is initiating prioritized surveillance testing to get an understanding of risk in facilities and businesses with high-contact interactions.
Testing all residents and staff could reveal any asymptomatic cases and allow the facility to better cohort residents based on the test results, optimize the use of appropriate PPE and accurately monitor any symptoms as they may develop.
Four Corners Health Care Center continues to take significant measures to protect all residents and staff, including providing appropriate PPE, taking heightened precautions, adhering to protocols outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, screening staff for respiratory illness and having unwell staff members stay home.
Visitation of residents is restricted at this time.
Four Corners Health Care Center will continue to be transparent with all information, while maintaining the privacy of each of the residents.
